Who operates NetServerDirect.com and where are your servers located?
In February 2006, Mosier Information Services, Inc. acquired NetServerDirect.com and currently provides all configuration and support along with its strategic partners.  Mosier Information Services, Inc. is a Florida based information technology consulting and service firm, specializing in the marriage of technology to the business needs of the organization.  NetServerDirect was a strategic acquisition and is expected to not only enable Mosier Information Services' entry into the hosting market, but to make expert technical services available to NetServerDirect's clients.

Our Servers are physically located in a secure, hurricane-proof and state-of-the-art datacenter in Miami, FL known as the NAP of the Americas.


If your servers are in Florida, how do you protect against hurricanes?
Our servers are located at the Nap of the Americas which is one of the most impressive datacenters in the world. With 750,000sq.ft. of datacenter space, it has everything necessary to withstand the worst hurricanes possible. No windows, 12 million pounds of concrete and steel ballast on the roof alone, a record 100,000 square foot PSI beam and concrete slab was poured as its foundation, is located outside the 100 year flood zone and, of course, is able to withstand a Category 5 Hurricane. In case of massive power outages, there are 6 massive generators in the upper corners of the building with almost 200,000 gallons of diesel fuel storage! The roof slope is designed to aid in drainage of floodwater in excess of 100-year storm intensity assisted by 18 rooftop drains. All equipment is located on the 2nd floor and up which is 32 feet above sea level (ground floor is already 14 feet above sea level). Not by coincidence, Miami's college football team is called the Hurricanes. This is because we are, unfortunately, used to them and the region has been built to withstand them. We don't have the same levee structure as other cities and we've been through category 5 storms before.

What is your service guarantee?
If you are a customer in good financial standing and the average availability of your web sites drops below 99.5% in any calendar month, we will issue you a credit of 25% of the next calendar month's fees.  If for any reason your websites availability drops below 90% in any month, we will credit 50% of the next month's fees.  Server uptime is caclulated in aggregate on a monthly basis.  If you feel you are due a credit, submit a help ticket under your control panel with the details of the website that was affected, the days and times it was unavailable.  If our server monitoring logs are in agreement, we will issue your credit within 7 days.

Can I host more than one website with you?
Our starter plans (QuickStart for Windows and Intro for Linux) only allow you to host one website.  Should you outgrow this restriction, you can easily upgrade to a higher grade plan.  In our larger plans, all of your web sites are managed using your Hosting Control Panel (CP). CP allows you to create multiple mailboxes for each of these websites and enable spam and anti-virus feature individually. CP also allows you to activate various features for each of these websites. The control panel can have only one user, but as many websites as your plan allows.

Do you accept credit cards?  Are they secure?
Yes, and absolutely! 
When you begin the process of checking out, you are transferred to our secure server.  We accept Visa and Mastercard through our website, or you can choose to checkout through PayPal.  Our secure servers are protected by 128-bit SSL Security, the same grade as nearly all popular online merchants.

How long does it take for my account to be activated?
Most credit card orders are activated immediately.  In some cases, our credit card processor asks us to do a manual fraud check on orders.  When this happens, your account will be reviewed manually and generally approved within 24 hours.  Orders paid by PayPal are generally active within 12 hours.

If I host my website with you, do I have to transfer my domain to NetServerDirect?
No, you are not required to transfer your domain to us.  You will, however, need to update the Domain Name Server (DNS) records with your domain registrar.  The correct DNS settings are sent to you via E-Mail when you sign up for a hosting plan with us and your account is activated.

After I sign up can I change my billing period and is there a discount?
From within your Hosting Control Panel you can change your billing period between Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually and Annually at any time. You can pay balance amount from Billing Profile in Billing section of your Hosting Control Panel. Also you can view online invoices in Billing section for details of credits and debits made to your account.  We offer a flat discount rate for longer billing plans:  5% Quarterly, 7.5% Semi-Annually and 10% Annually.  Please note that this applies to Web Hosting and Virtual Private Server accounts only.  Email-Only accounts can only be paid semi-annually or annually and offer no discount.

What if my needs change, can I go onto a different hosting plan?
Absolutely!  Your Hosting Control panel lets you easily change available plans at any time.  If you downgrade your plan, your account will get credited for unused services.  If you upgrade your plan, you will still receive credit for unused services, but will be required to pay any balance due.

How do I cancel my account?  What is your refund policy?
To cancel your account, send an email to billing @ mosierdata.com (without the spaces).  If you cancel within the first 10 days your account is opened, you will receive a full refund less any add-on services (Such as dedicated IP's, etc).  Otherwise, you will receive a prorated refund of any prepaid services beyond your current billing cycle.
